-
If we attend a site on the agreed dates and the site is not ready for installation or livening, the Customer will be charged a site visit fee of $115.00 + GST.
-
All pricing is relative to a 20kms radius from Christchurch City Central. Any sites outside of this area may be subject to travel (time and kms) charges as outlined below. Larger subdivision developments may be excluded from travel (Within South: Rolleston, Prebbleton and Lincoln, West Melton | Within North: Beachgrove, Ravenswood, Pegasus, Rangiora township). This is due to multiple livenings within an area and is subject to other scheduling at the time of booking.
-
If Safe Power Services are required to attend the installation site for any reason outside the scope of our standard connection service process, the Customer will be charged a site visit fee of $115.00 + GST.
-
Note: The fee will be waived where a site visit is due to improper performance of our service, or operation of our builders temporary supply, and the Customer is not responsible for the fault.
-
-
No retailer or on-property costs are included within our pricing.
-
A temporary connection is considered ‘all costs to the customer.’ There are certain Energy Retailers that charge customers directly for the new temporary connection and therefore cover all costs of the works; these are: Contact, Genesis, Meridian, and Powershop. All other Energy Retailers do not cover any of our connection costs. If using these other retailers, you/the customer, will incur an additional fee from us to cover the connection based on the site location.

If the network connection point is not located within the site or directly on the site boundary, a service mains cable will need to be installed from the connection point to the site. This cost will be a variation as per site requirements.

The Customer requires permission/approval from both Orion and MainPower to connect to their networks. We will act as your representative by applying, progressing and managing the network and energy retailer applications to establish and connect your new development.
-
Upon receiving relevant network and metering approvals, we will schedule the installation and livening of the builders temporary supply with the Customer.

Please note: that while every effort will be made to ensure the builders temporary supply is installed and livened on the dates requested, however, we cannot guarantee these until we have the required paperwork approvals.
